Ashley Kim, O.D.
Ashley Kim, O.D. was born in Austin and raised in Dallas, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin where she received her bachelor of science degree in Public Health. She then pursued higher education at the University of Harlingen College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. She completed her externships at Audie L. Murphy Veterans Affairs hospital in San Antonio and Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, where she was trained in providing primary eye care, as well as the treatment and management of various ocular disease. She is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is trained in specialty contact lens fitting, dry eye treatment, and the management of various binocular vision conditions. Dr. Kim believes in providing quality primary eye care to her patients and prioritizes volunteering in her community. Dr. Kim’s heart for service was sparked when she volunteered for a medical mission trip to provide eye care to the underserved communities in Mexico. She plans to continue volunteering in mission trips as often as she can.
Aside from her love of optometry, Dr. Kim enjoys seeking adventures in the outdoors, lifting weights, practicing yoga, and enjoys a long run at Town Lake. She is a complete foodie and is always looking to travel to the unknown and experience new cuisines. She is a dog lover and can’t imagine life without her adorable pug, Dochi.
