Joel Orlando Trinidad, O.D.

Dr. Joel Orlando Trinidad attended the faith based Rosenberg School of Optometry where he underwent four years of extensive training to receive his Doctorate of Optometry degree. The Rosenberg School of Optometry is a post-graduate professional program within the University of Incarnate Word located in the heart of San Antonio, TX. Prior to receiving his doctorate of optometry degree, Dr. Trinidad attended the Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi where he received a bachelor’s degree in science with an emphasis on Bio-medical sciences. Dr. Trinidad received a wide spectrum of clinical training in various areas of optometry including ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatric eye care, low vision, vision therapy, and primary eye care.

Dr. Trinidad maximized his optometric training in ocular disease and peri-operative management by completing an externship program in a private practice ophthalmology clinic by the name of Eye Centers of South Florida, located in North Miami Beach, FL. The clinic worked alongside a variety of surgical specialists including retina, cataract, LASIK, oculo-plastics and ocular prosthetics. Dr. Trinidad completed his second externship experience at the William V. Chappel Jr. Veteran’s multi-specialty out-patient clinic located in Daytona Beach FL. The veteran affairs clinic had a primary focus on low vision, contact lens, ocular disease, and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Trinidad strives on performing top notch comprehensive eye exams that provide quality patient education to protect the well-being of all patients and satisfy their visual needs.

Outside of clinic, Dr. Trinidad enjoys kayaking and paddle boarding down Lake Lady Bird and exploring green belts with his dog Toby.
